Rhythm and Rhyme Week

Rhythm & Rhyme Week

Our week began with a whole school Assembly led by our Miss Syddall and Chip from 'Soul Children Choir'.

We spotted familiar faces together...such as Stormzy and Shakespeare and discussed Rap/Grime/Poems/Nursery Rhymes and lots more.

In the Assembly on Monday we began to learn a song launched by Chip called 'Headlights'.

The children were AMAZING, resulting in the start of an 'Adswood Soul Children Choir' for KS2 children in Spring 2 Term with Miss Syddall for an 'Easter Choir Production' on the 31st March.

Throughout the rest of Rhythm & Rhyme Week Year 6 & 5 explored 'Shakespearian VS Grime', Year 4 & 3 produced their own individual Rap's, KS1 and EYFS learnt and performed some well known Rhymes and explored rhythm with instruments.
